MemNet includes a sign up to newsletter form that is configured under Administration / System Configuration / Company Settings / Self Service / New Member Forms / Subscribe to Newsletter.
Here you can:
- Enabled the subscribe to newsletter form by ticking the checkbox.
- Set the Form Header text. This HTML is displayed at the top of the form when it is enabled and displayed in a stand-alone window and is hidden when the form is displayed in an iframe.
- Set the Form Footer text. This HTML is displayed at the top of the form when it is enabled and displayed in a stand-alone window and is hidden when the form is displayed in an iframe.
- Set the Member Type used for the record created.
- Set the member Status used for the record created.
- Select option to display member self-service fields enabled for display on public forms (enabled on the Self-service / Options tab). These are used to collect more information about the person signing up, if required.
- Select an option to ask for the person's address.
- Select an option to ask the person to confirm their email address - would require them to enter their email address twice. They only need to enter their email address once if not enabled.
- Display email marketing subscription lists (if configured). This allows them to choose the types of emails they wish to receive.
- Enabled the display header and footer text.
- The text to be used on the button, defaults to Save.
- The thank you text, displayed on the screen after sign up
- The confirmation email sent after signup.
Once the settings have been saved, click the Open Subscribe to Newsletter Link button which will open the form in a new browser tab. Copy this URL to access the form in a standalone window or embedd this URL in an iframe to embed the form in a website page.
