How to ensure your member isn’t contacted when they don’t wish to be?

When adding a new member ensure that you tick the options for Do Not Contact By. There are three options you can select- Email, Post, and or Phone. By selecting all three your member will not receive any correspondence unless otherwise overwritten in the Mail Generation module.

It is also the best practice that if your member doesn’t wish to be contacted that you also tick the Unsubscribe to ALL MARKETING By; Email and or Post also.
