The MEMNET Self-Service Module utilises the DNN Content Management System (CMS) to manage member login credentials. Members are able to register for a Username and Password to access Member Self Service to update details, renew subscriptions, make payments online, book events, buy merchandise and view member only content.
There could be a number of reasons that a username cannot be applied to a person record, they are:
- The person's information needs to be entered as it is recorded within MEMNET. If a middle name and/or post-nominal is recorded in the first or last name fields this needs to be entered in the corresponding fields on the registration form. A helpful hint is to copy and paste the information out of MEMNET.
- The Member Type of the membership that the person is on must be enabled for Self Service access.
- Member types to be enabled for Self Service access by selecting the checkbox relating to the Member Type titled "Self Service Access" within Type Administration.
- Main Person Registration Only is enabled. If enabled then only the main person on the membership can register to use the membership self-service portal.
- Using the information provided a single unique match has to be found in MEMNET. If a duplicate person exists within the member record, the system can not uniquely identify the person record to apply the username. The duplicate record could be an event guest record.
- There is a username already registered against the person record. The username is recorded in the General Information horizontal bar on the Person Profile page.
- If the person record does not have an Email address recorded.
