Configuring credit card surcharges

MemNet can be configured to automatically add a credit card surcharge to all transactions processed via MemNet, this is invoiced as a service fee allowing you to configure a default revenue account code for that revenue. 

For one-off payments:

Login to MemNet and go to Administration / System Configuration / Company Settings / Self Service and select the Online Payments Tab. Edit this and set the surcharge as a percentage for each card type and click update.

Once the surcharge is configured, it will automatically be added to all payments processed via the payment gateway 

For the tokenised direct debit payments:

Login to MemNet and go to Administration / System Configuration / Company Settings / Direct Debit and edit the bottom part of the screen and tick the Incurs Credit Card Surcharge checkbox and click Save. This will apply the surcharge configured above to the direct debit via Credit card payments.
