To activate Two Factor Authentication on your login go to My Info or click on the link that may be displayed when you first log in.
Note that you will need to download and install an authentictor application such as Google Authenticator to your mobile phone from either the Apple App Store or the Android Google Play store if they do not already have it installed.
Expand the Two Factor Authentication section (if it is not already) and click the Start 2FA Setup button
A window will be displayed with a QR code, scan the QR code with your Authenticator app. To do so, open the app, click the + in the bottom right and choose Scan a QR code (alternatively, you can enter the 53 character alphanumeric code that is also displayed).
Once the QR code is scanned and your device has confirmed it, enter the code into MemNet and click save to ensure you have the correct code.
Two Factor Authentication is now enabled for your login.
Each time you login, after entering and validating your username and password you will be required to enter the current authentication code provided for that login by the Google Authenticator app. Enter the code into the screen below and click Authenticate to login.
Notes:
- The code generated by the Authenticator app resets every 30 seconds, this is indicated by the timer.
- If you lose access to your Authenticator app, any user with full administrator rights can disable 2FA on your account under Administration / System Configuration / User Administration. 2FA can then be re-enabled when you login.
- Any authenticator app that generates a time based 6 digit numebr can be used.
