If you want to publish your newsletters or other email communications to your website or social media channels you can now create a link directly to the email in MemNet. You can also automatically add a link to your email to "View it in a browser".
Under Mail Generation / Distributions, to the right of each distribution, you will see a red 'broken link' icon. This allows you to 'publish' the distribution so you can use the URL elsewhere.
If you hover your mouse over it you'll see brief information about this option - and there will be a red cross under the "Published" column,
Clicking on the broken link icon will change its colour to solid blue, and you will then see a green tick and a 'pages' icon on the right under "Published". The pages icon allows you to copy the URL for the distribution to your clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere.
NOTE: You can also click the blue published icon under Actions to 'unpublish' the distribution again.
However if you have sent the link out to members or others already, they will be taken to a "not found" error message if they click on it.
This feature means you can use the web link of a distribution for different purposes. For example, if creating newsletters, the URLs can be used to create a list/archive of your newsletters on your website. Or you can send the URL to an individual or group in another email without having to duplicate and re-send the original distribution.
The other function this feature provides is to add a 'View in Browser' link in your email distribution.
When using Mail Generation, you'll see the option "Publish Distribution". Ticking this box makes the "View Link Online" option available in the list under "Insert Merge Field" for your email.
If using the Pro Editor you will also find this option available under Special Links > Misc > View Link Online
