A confirmation email must be set up for your event to be available online, it will then be emailed automatically whenever a booking is made.
There are two types of Confirmation Email templates you can use for events: A Simple Template (using a WYSIWYG editor) or a Pro Template
Create a Simple Template
- Under Mail Generation > Email Templates click New Simple Template.
Select Event from the Email Template Type drop down list. - Use the WYSIWYG editor to write your email.
- Use the Insert Field options to include merge fields in your message.
- Important: Somewhere in your template you need to include the Ticket Reference merge tag.
This will automatically insert the information from the event booking. - To use this template for your event, go to the Confirmation Email tab for that event
- Click and select the template you have created.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you edit the template under the Events, rather than under Mail Generation > Templates this will OVERRIDE your original template!
(This is different from using other Email Body templates via the Mail Generation Wizard - editing the template from within the mail distribution itself does not override the template you have selected)
Create a Pro Template
- Under Mail Generation > Email Templates click New Pro Template.
- When using the Pro Editor, select the template you want to use as a starting point. We suggest using the Blank Template, as this allows you to format your email so it is most suited to your brand and colour palette.
- Click Create From Template and select “Event” from the Email Template Type drop down.
- Use the Pro Editor to write your email.
- Important: Somewhere in your template you need to include the Ticket Reference merge tag.
This will automatically insert the information from the event booking. - To use this template for your event, go to the Confirmation Email tab for that event
- Click and select the template you have created.
