There will be occasions where you find you have the same person recorded twice on the same Membership record. This could happen where they are recorded as Event Guests rather than being selected from the list of people already on the Membership during Event Registration. This may also prevent this person from registering for a login to Member Self Service.
- Find the member with the duplicate person and locate the person you wish to merge on the People tab. This is the person who will be merged into another.
- Click on the drop down arrow that can be found to the right of the person you wish to merge. The main person cannot be merged, if you wish to merge the main person with another, change who the main person is first.
- Select the Merge with Another Person option on the drop down list.
- Select the person you want to merge this person into from the list.
- You will be presented with a screen that allows you to choose what information you want to retain. Where more than one piece of information exists on the 2 people being merged you can choose what gets retained.
- Click Complete Merge. A confirmation pop-up will appear, click OK on the pop-up to complete the merge. The 2 peoples data will be merged and the Duplicate Person record deleted from the database
